Posted January 18, 2011 Vega-Elite - RB5 Mid-Motor conversion Just released, the new series of Vega Elite 2WD race conversions for most major top-end race buggies. Featuring CNC machined aerospace 7075 alloy tub chassis & gearbox, motorplate heat sink, rear shock tower, bodyshell and more. This exciting new conversion changes the weight distribution of the car, allowing it to jump more level & massively helps in-air control and powered landings. Testing has shown the conversion gives a new more positive feel to the car, allowing for a more aggressive driving style. Par contre la fixation du support d'amortisseur à l'arrière me paraît très fragile (à ne pas mettre entre les mains d'un bourrin comme moi, donc...). Posted January 19, 2011 VEGA have their new 'VEGA Elite' mid-motor conversions here racing. The first conversion from VEGA is for the Kyosho RB5, but they also had a Losi XXXCR conversion on hand to show us and are planning to release a conversion for the Tamiya 201X and Associated B4. The cars will all feature similar design principles with a CNC machined alloy tub chassis being the centre piece, along with alloy 4-gear gearbox and lightweight motor mount / heatsink. The conversion looks really high quality with first class machining and clear-anodising to protect the finish. Ce pilote, dont c'est la première participation au SIORC avec une cinquième place en finale A dans sa catégorie, roulait avec un Kyosho RB5 équipé d'un kit de conversion Vega Elite du fabricant anglais Team Xtreme. Ledit kit comprend principalement un châssis et une boîte de transmission usinés en alliage d'aluminium, d'une plaque moteur faisant office également de radiateur, d'un support d'amortisseurs arrière et d'une carrosserie et permet de transformer le Kyosho RB5 en un mid-motor.
