Posted February 2, 2010 Dominant debut win for Cougar SV The Schumacher Cougar SV made its much anticipated race debut this weekend at the BRCA British Open , which has replaced the Indoor Nationals formally run during the winter season. Against a strong entry of most of the UK’s top electric off road drivers the race could not have gone better for the Schumacher team. The result was a convincing victory in the 2WD class, Simon Moss won all 5 of his races in the Reedy style event to score a maximum perfect score. Simon also recorded the fastest 5 minute run by a huge margin of 5 seconds and fastest single lap. The Cougar SV was clearly the quickest car on all parts of the multi surface Worksop track which contained a challenging mix of high grip carpet and slippery floor sections. With it’s mid motor, centrally weighted lipo layout and reverse direction transmission it’s looked awesomely stable on the Worksop jumps, which were challenging for some of the best UK drivers. Overall 3 Cougar SV’s were running at the event with Tom Cockerill also getting up there in 10th with Grant Williams 13th only having received the cars on the day of the race!! The following day Simon completed the double by taking his CAT SX to victory in the 4WD class. Congratulations from everyone at Schumacher Racing. Posted February 3, 2010 Passionnant !! Schum restera toujours Schum ! Inovant ! On aime ou pas, mais l'esprit est là : so crazy ! il faut leur reconnaitre ça et la qualité est toujours au top. L'interessant c'est de savoir ce que va faire asso et losi....J'ai hâte de l'essayer. Parce que entre "le discours officiel " des grandes marques qui trust les top drivers et qui peuvent compenser, et la réalité de vitesse au tour sur piste terre où se déroule les plus grosses compet, je suis curieux de voir...Suffit de voir un x6 sur les sauts à côté d'un asso ou d'un losi....même s'il n'y a pas que ça... Depuis leur conception, les puissances et les pistes ont évolué avec des gros jumps où l'on sert fort les fesses avec son b4 !!! en croisant les doigts et en fermant les yeux... tout ça en priant ! - pour nous humbles mortel de la gâchette bien entendu lol !! Les 4X2 avaient besoin d'évoluer au niveau de la répartition des masses :quand on roule avec autant de plombs à l'avant c'est que c'est peut être dépassé sur certaines pistes même si ca ne remet pas en cause les superbes qualités des voitures Maintenant j 'espère que les différents points de la bête ont été correctement testés et validés et que nous ne retrouverons pas quelques erreurs de jeunesse comme sur le SX.
