Posted January 17, 2009 In few minutes now We will start the Finals and it will begin from I finals. 2 Round of Finals until “B final” + 3 Rounds of A Final Just during the small break Maritime Raceway did me a surprise and offered me a BIG CAKE (for 140 peaple) and a "souvenir" to celebrate the 10th anniversary of PETIT RC and I can to tell you that I'm really touch of that attention. I just would like to thank you Cliff, Ian and ALL members of MARITIME RACEWAY for their attention for me... Some others persons will tell you better than me this moment and we show you some of pictures and videos... No time to eat the cake but just after podiums and trophies, we will take time to eat and offer drinks together and celabrate as we do this 10th of PETIT RC' Durant cette petite pause, grande surprise puisque les membres du club ont réunis tous le monde dans les stands en m'appelant... Ian Knight, mon direteur de course a ainsi annoncé que PETIT RC fêtait ses 10 ans et que le club de Maritime Raceway souhaitait ainsi le fêter... A ma surprise, le club m'apportait un grand gateau (pour 140 personnes) ainsi qu'un souvenir... Mémorable cet instant, cette attention toute particulière.... Un GRAND GRAND merci pour ce club, pour leur attention à mon égard, pour PETIT RC... Je laisse ainsi la place aux personnes qui ont fait le déplacement qui sauront mieux que moi vous le raconter... Le gateau sera ainsi coupé après la remise des prix et je les convis tous à partager ensemble cet instant mémorable autour du pot de l'amitié que je leur ai réservé... Lee Martin, the top qualifier and Ellis Stafford were "tyres in tyres" and just after 2 laps, Ellis took the middle table top faster than Lee and passed him just before to get the table top in the corner of track. Ellis was like "at home" and raced fast. But Tom Cokerill took advantage of his small error and get the leading of the race. Ellis was so fast that he was just behind Tom and raced as fast as well... but Tom, second last year at the PETIT RC RACE, won this first round and I could to tell you that was fantastic to have a look on this round and missed nothing! Incroyable 1ere manche de final A 4x2! Lee Martin, le pole-man prend la tete et est suivit roue dans roue par Ellis Stafford. Après 2 tours, Ellis pris la moyenne table au plus vite et passait ainsi Lee qui lui était déjà resdescendu de son saut pour enchainer la grande table US! Magnifique! Ellis était très rapide et semblait à son avantage, comme à la maison! (Quoique il habite juste à coté, c'est le régional de l'étape même si il connaissait pas le tracé avant !) Tom Cokrill qui suivait de près Ellis après une erreur de Lee Martin, profitait à son tour d'une erreur dans un virage de Ellis pour passer. A ce moment là, tour après tour, Tom avait 2 secondes d'avance sur Ellis et Ellis, déchainé, repris Tom quelques tours (2!° pour venir le coller! A 2 reprises, Ellis touchait Tom mais le laissait repartir devant.... Ellis tenta TOUT pour passer mais Tom, second l'an dernier, gagnait cette 1ère manche... French Guy Michel Berty, a TC man usually! The race was interesting th follow with big jumps of theses trucks. Rich won the first final followed by Michel Berty and Ben Hubbard from LBC club Ellis Stafford, le pole man partait aussi si vite que en 2wd et gardait ainsi la tête. Pour sa 1ere en truck comme pour d'autres pilotes renommés de cette finale, il faisait des erreurs et c'était Richard Lowe qui en profitait. Derrière lui, Michel Berty, notre Français, plutot habitué à la piste (et 4ème l'an dernier à l'édition 2 quand même!). Michel faisait mieux que se défendre et conservait ainsi cette 2eme place!
