Serpent introduce the Spyder SRX-2 1/10 buggy:

Serpent designer Billy Easton, former 1/10 scale 2wd World Champion, and the designer of the successful Cobra 1/8 series of cars, has created this new masterpiece. Starting this project from a blank sheet of paper / pc screen, to make it exactly as he wants it, of course inside the rules...

config: moteur speed passion 7.5t, pignon 19t, vario reventon, accus orion shorty 4000

Geardiff set SRX2 (#500192)

1234578400b.jpg

Serpent is introducing the super compact geardifferential for the Spyder series of 1/10 scale offroad cars. Its fits the Spyder SRX-2 RM , MM and the soon coming SC.

The gear differential features a very compact composite housing, consisting of 2 sides and the central 51T gear. The small 14T and large 28T gears are made in sintered metal for durability. Supersmooth diff action due to the specially designed gearshape. The cross-shafts are made in aluminium with flat spots for fitment. The shaped silicone seals seats in the groove and will provide a leakproof assembly.

One of the housing sides has 4 small metal threaded shaped nuts, which key into slots and sit flush with the case. The 4 bolts are inserted from the other side.

The diff adaptors are made in Serpent Spring Steel SSS, and are machined lighter on both sides.

The whole unit comes at a weight of only 28,9 grams, without oil.

As starting point we suggest to use 7000 cst silicone oil.

The Spyder geardiff can be fitted instead of the balldifferential without any other modification.

The full color manual and exploded view is available online. http://www.serpent.com/file.php?FileID=5905

Silencer Body For Serpent Spyder

JCO0276.jpg

JConcepts, out to Silence the competition, debuts new Silencer body design for Serpent Spyder SRX-2 MM vehicle.

The JConcepts design team has spent many hours in development with leading team drivers to develop a new high-speed style body, specifically for the latest circuits. One of the most recognizable items, the Silencer body style, has now been designed for perfect fit and finish on the Serpent Spyder SRX-2 MM buggy.

A brand-new, ground up design, the Silencer, has new elements created for the highest speed circuits. A profiled, Finnisher stance cockpit and forward raised side-pod gives the Silencer an immediate fighting appearance. A smooth, high-speed transition around the cab, keeps the Silencer heading in the right direction. A slight recess just behind the cab with channeling out the rear provides rear-end stability. The Silencer side-pods have a clipped rear-end, narrowing the rear by angling in just in front of the rear tires. The rear side-pods angle sharply toward the shock tower and wing, enhancing the force placed on the rear pods during high-speed acceleration.

The main pods are heavily chamfered near the rear and lightly toward the front allowing plenty of paint and decal access. The end result has the body looking extremely low-profile with heavy JConcepts edginess and appeal. The Silencer is capped off with a cock-pit “shark fin” for more high-speed tracking stability and increased roof stiffness. The package includes two, 6.5” Hi-Clearance wings pre-marked for the Serpent Spyder for the easiest application.
