Posted September 11, 2008 The blue springs provided with the FS are shorter that the former ones. Is it possible to use former springs on the FS with no risk of modifying their features and then action ? All the springs should fit fine. Casper

Posted September 13, 2008 ZX-5FS monté à partir d'un kit de convsersion FS (LAW38) et des pièces de ZX-5SP et les quelques modifications faites. 1. Associated Factory Team B3 turnbuckle set (4- 2.00" and 2- 1.75") 2. White Team Losi HD Ball ends and standard sized Ball Studs. 3. Associated Factory Team servo mounts. 4. Xtreme Racing Carbon Fiber shock towers. Also, because I used the longer Losi HD ball ends I had to flip around front shock tower brace so the shocks would have plenty of clearance from the turnbuckle and HD ball end. The front shocks are straight up and down now and not leaning back, I don't think it will effect the handling. Les images trop grandes (sup à 1200 pxl de large) ont été sauvegardées dans la galerie dant l'unique but de les redimensionner.

Posted October 26, 2008 LAZER ZX-5 FS Unassembled Kit Generational shift with the new chassis design will leave expert drivers breathless as it generates more speed than ever before! With its heritage built at the top of the racing world, the famous LAZER ZX-5 chassis has undergone a complete regeneration. This model is based on the FS conversion kit and not the SP competition kit held in high regard by many competition drivers. The new layout features a 10mm longer wheelbase and the motor and spur gear are positioned as far forward as possible. This combines with the 3 by 3 battery layout to produce optimal weight distribution and results in ideal surface pressure to the tires for effective traction and sure-footed turning. The position of the motor and spur gear uses the normal reverse rotation of the propeller shaft to control counter torque. The dominant performance of ZX-5 was proven with four places in the top 10 finals of the 2008 1/10 EP Buggy Japan National and by many more drivers than any other model. 10mm longer wheelbase delivers improved traction and performance over gaps in the track for greater stability. New layout positions the motor and spur gear as far forward as possible. Optimal mass balance delivers sure-footed turning and stability. Newly designed front suspension (knuckles, hubs, lower suspension arms) features large control angles and plenty of setting options. Delivers easy turning control. Newly designed rear suspension makes good use of changes in load for traction and easy control on a wide variety of surface types. Chassis Technical Data Length 385mm Width 248mm Height 145mm Wheelbase 278mm Trackwidth (F/R) 210/200mm Weight 1,650g approx. Posted November 29, 2008 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GiTf9pqCgo I have a problem with my FS. All the other rear springs from my SP (yellow, silver, etc.) are too long for the FS and then are not more suitable on it. The ride height is too high at the rear then I must use the new shorter blue ones with no other choice. Even with the shorter shock bodies, they should still work. I don't use the silver springs from the old ZX. Actually I have only used just 3 different colors for all the different tracks that I have raced on. Dark Yellow, Light Yellow and Blue. Plus IMHO, I change my springs every season. They do tend to get softer over time, so for minimal cost, its worth it. So just to not hassle with the whole issue, I would just recommend getting new springs. As long as you are using the right lower spring holders then you should be good to go. Let me know how it goes. What do you mean exactly by the 'right lower spirng holders' ? There were older springs that were a little longer than the newer ones. It should be all short ones out there now.
