Serpent 411-ERYX 3.0

Here are some pics of the RRS.

As best as I can tell the wheelbase did not change either, maybe 0.5mm if that. The other reason I did the mod to the rear arms was so I could swap out the RRS for normal rear uprights without having to change the arms.

A few other mods.

The first pic is showing the idler pulley bearing holder with 1mm taken off the top, done on both sides, just to get everything from touching the top deck.

Pics 2 and 3 show a tapped hole I put into the steering servo holder, with a spacer and drilling a hole into the top deck I get a front standoff option for more adjustments.

Pic 4 shows how the motor mount leg has to be cut to work with the V3 motor mount. Still allows top deck secured to the standoff, but gives you full access to the motor screws for those big pinions.

Alu chassis stiffner Eryx 3.0 (#401617)

For the Serpent ERYX 3.0 touringcar, we introduce this optional aluminium chassis stiffner .

The stiffner was part of the development and testing of the ERYX project, and is now ready for release.

The ERYX chassis already has one stiffner post standard in the kit, which mounts in the rear center. This extra alu stiffner can be mounted in the center, and then can be used either without the stiffner post front and rear, or just fron or rear or even both.

As flex plays an essential role in set-up, this ads another element to experiment with to obtain even better results.

RRS system set 411 (#401618)

For Serpent 411 ERYX Serpent introduces this innovative RRS system.

The Serpent RRS System ( Re-active Rear Steering) brings a new dimension to setup. It provides an active toe-in in the rear. It allows to run less static toe-in and still have a good traction coming out of the corner.

The amount of toe-change over the suspension travel is fully adjustable. You can even have no toe-in change in droop and still have a toe-in raise under compression.

To easier understand the effects we have added a graphic in the online manual.

The system fits ERYX 2.0 and 3.0, but also older versions 411, with either alu chassis or carbon chassis.
