Posted November 30, 2010 <img src="http://www.theneorace.com/logo750.jpg" width="550"> Neo Buggy & DXR are pleased to officially announce the Neo Race for 2011 – “Neo11”, to be held 22-25th April 2011; the 6th running of the race and our 5th anniversary staging it at the Harper Adams indoor facility. The timetable will be similar to Neo2010 – a 4 day format is planned with practice on Friday 22nd, six rounds of qualifying on Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th finishing off with finals on the Monday (25th). Qualifying will use 7 minute heats and the best four rounds from six will count. After the Dash4Cash success at Neo2010 the organizers plan to add a few more ‘special races’ to the schedule which should provide entertainment every day. We hope to once again welcome some of the finest 1/8 Buggy drivers to attend this prestigious annual event. Entry date will be announced soon. Sponsors please contact us for further details. Further details will be published on www.theneorace.com Contact info@theneorace.com Information: Past Winners 2005: Jared Tebo – USA 2006: Adam Drake – USA (Buggy & Truggy) 2008: Adam Drake – USA 2009: Jared Tebo – USA (Buggy), Ryan Maifield - USA (Electric 1/8 Buggy) 2010: Yannick Aigoin – France (first non-US winner) Venue: Harper Adams University College, Shropshire An agricultural college located near Newport, Shropshire, The Neo Race uses the college’s indoor soil hall – the largest of its kind in Europe. Next door, the agricultural machine hall is transformed into the Neo pitting hall. Track construction usually starts 1 or 2 weekends before the event, depending on the college’s timetable. The temporary track in its ‘race-ready’ state exists for only four days, as soon as the event finishes demolition of the track, pitting area, race control, drivers stand etc begins, by the next morning everything is gone. The fact that the track only exists ‘for’ the race ensures a fair and level playing field for all drivers; no one having practiced on it and at an advantage – it is a true test of the driver. The organization team are able to keep the track consistent via daily watering schedules and sweeping of the racing line, weather is less of a factor than outdoor races as we race under roof and lights!
