We (http://rcforum.co.kr) have exclusively got the 3D images of Team ACADEMY's new 1/10th 2WD Electric Buggy. This is not official images from ACADEMY, but It seems like ACADEMY is almost ready to release their next buggy with 2WD Electric buggy after their great success 4WD buggy SB-V2. The 3D images do not show everything about their new 2WD buggy yet, however I have to say it really looks great. We haven't comfirmed the release day, and haven't got the name of the buggy either. The more information is coming soon from us... Source: Our friend & partner RC Forum

Posted October 20, 2007 Merci beaucoup!
Posted December 10, 2007 Here's my next project: the Academy GV2, available through MRC. This is the pro kit, there's also an RTR version. Here's what you get. I considered opening the bags and laying out all the parts for this shot, but I didn't want to mess up the build. And it was already close to midnight... The manual uses full-color computer images and sparse text. The hardware drawings aren't to scale, so keep your digital caliper handy. Don't have one? [...]. The manual has shock assembly as the first step--the heck with that. I skipped to step 2, the steering assembly. It's a full ball-bearing deal, with an integrated servo saver. Note that the bellcranks lean back to match caster angle for zero bump-steer. I had to break out the Dremel when I discovered the steering system's drag link rubbed the "nose cap." I just kissed it with a sanding drum. All I needed was a half-millimeter, these cuts didn't need to be quite so deep. Two front axles are supplied: black for the included metric front bearings, and plated for use with "standard" bearings--like your B4 front wheels, for example. Nice touch. The rear axles are also compatible with Losi and Associated wheels. The kit includes a nice aluminum front arm mount with 27.5 degrees of kickup. Plastic bushings give smooth hingepin movement without excessive wear. A plastic version of the part is also in the box, which you can use to provide 25 or 30 degrees of kickup depending on how you install it. The rear arms get aluminum mounts too. Sockets in the mounts accept plastic balls slipped over the hingepin ends, so rear toe can be adjusted with different blocks (not included). The transmission has a really nice one-piece aluminum top shaft that's hard-anodized. The ball diff is smooth and builds easily, just make sure you put the thrust bearing and screw in the correct outdrive--they're not identical. The dual-pad slipper uses hard-anodized aluminum pressure plates and a big oilite bushing in the spur gear for consistent action. Academy includes a bunch of spur gears in a variety of sizes. A 19T pinion is also included. Getting there... The wing mounts are held in by body clips, and o-rings cushion the mounts. Steel turnbuckles set toe and camber, and are adjusted by slipping a hex wrench through a hole in the turnbuckle. "Technacraft style," for all you old-timers. The shocks are really smooth, and have rubber shaft wipers to extend oil life. Academy installs the seals for you, which are bottom-loaded and held in by snap rings. There it is: the GV2 is ready for electronics, and I'm ready for bed.
