Posted September 3, 2007 Jorn NEUMANN, vainqueur de la PETIT RC RACE 2006 (4x2 et 4x4) et présent pour la PETIT RC RACE 2007 devient pilote SERPENT. Somme toute logique suite à au partenariat Durango/Serpent que nous vous avions annoncé Samedi 1er septembre... Jörn Neumann, winner of the 2006 PETIT RC RACE (2wd & 4wd) and present for the PETIT RC "CHRISTMAS" RACE 2007, the young and highly talented German driver, has joined Team Serpent. Jörn has been racing intensively with 1/10 OFR cars and has been topping the podium in the European Championships already once and is a regular finalists at the big races. 4WD is his number one class but he has also proved very qiuck in 2wd. Jörn has been a dedicated racer and promotor of the Durango 1/10 Project and has travelled to many races with Gerd Strenge, the designer of this unique car. As an official Nova Rossi/Proline sponsored driver, Jörn has also entered the 1/8 offroad arena and very succesfully too. At first running the TT-car in 1/8, and recently changing to the Serpent 1/8 proto-type car (still with many alien parts). An excellent results was achieved during the last Proline race in the UK, where he managed to beat the world elite drivers from Europe and USA. Jörn will cooperate with the Serpent R&D team to develop and test a high performance 1/8 offroad car and same for the 1/10 scale offroad projects and future plans. Jörn will be racing the Serpent 1/10 4wd Prototype during the Worlds in Japan and is also looking forward to attend the 2008 1/8 Offroad Worlds in USA. Posted September 6, 2007 Jeff Cuffs (USA) rejoint Team Serpent pour du long terme, aussi bien pour les courses que pour le développement de Serpent pour la piste électrique... Jeff Cuffs from the USA has recently joined Team Serpent for a long term cooperation involving racing and further developing the Serpent electric onroad cars. Cuffs is a very successful and knowledgeable electric car racer, which is proven by his many titles. Jeff is to be found on an rc track in his area almost every bit of spare time he has testing and developing electric powered rc cars, but ofcourse also supporting fellow racers. Jeff will be attending the main USA based indoor and outdoor electric car races and is already intensively cooperating and integated in the Serpent's R&D team. He will also be racing some of Serpent nitro cars regionally and he's really looking forward to that. We are really proud to have Jeff onboard and are confident he will be an excellent ambassador for the Serpent brand. Posted September 7, 2007 Billy Easton rejoint le team Serpent et roulera dès la semaine prochaine sur le 4x4 made by Durango/Serpent. A SUIVRE dans notre future LIVE des championnats du Monde! Billy Easton has joined Serpent. The top class electric racer will joins as product-developer/engineer and will also compete for the Dutch company as a team/test-driver. He will be involved mainly in the Serpent 1/10 electric car on and offroad projects, but will also be part of the 1/8 offroad plans. Billy, who has raced for the likes of AE and Yokomo, will share the vast experience from his long racing career with the Serpent R&D team. Being based in the USA, Billy will be the perfect source for information on how to develop Serpent products more towards the American market. He will cooperate with Gerd Strenge on the offroad projects and also with the Holland based engineers on the 1/10 onroad cars. Billy will take part in all the major on and offroad races in the US and beyond. With the WC 1/8 offroad taking place in the USA in 2008 we are excited to have such a famous driver joining our team. Posted December 12, 2007 Josh is king of the Castle at UK Indoor Junior Championships (11/12/2007) Young British driver Josh Castle took his Serpent S400 to the World famous Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield, where a flowing track had been laid out for the UK’s top juniors to do battle. Josh had not run the S400 prior to this meeting and after round two had put the S400 in the top slot by an impressive two laps over his nearest rival showing just how good the car was out of the box. After qualifying Josh had slipped to fourth place as he experimented with set ups to fine tune the S400 to his liking. When the A Final buzzer sounded Josh took a cautious first turn only to be shunted into the track markings leaving him at the back of the field. After a few laps to settle himself, he then put in an impressive display to work his way through the field in an attempt to recover a podium finish. By lap seven he had taken fifth place, another two laps saw him move into third and a podium place. Josh and his S400 were working as one, the car looking very smooth and stable in the corners, it only took him another three laps to take second place and allow him to give chase to the leader, unfortunately for Josh he was beaten by the clock. Posted January 8, 2008 news of S500: The car will be shown in Nurnberg Toyfair at first. feb 2008. The proto-type has been improved lot and to make the car price-friendlier, we have made many parts in plastic too. Expect release around may 2008.
