Posted February 2, 2012 SC10 4x4 Factory Team Starting with the already awesome SC10 4x4, Team Associated takes our 4WD short course truck to the next level with the full Factory Team treatment! The new high performance features found on the SC10 4x4 Factory Team kit have been designed to give this truck the competitive edge in the dirt and on the track. The SC10 4x4 Factory Team kit is built from the same race proven composite modular chassis but with many new upgraded features added. The chassis layout has been reconfigured and now features a centralized-mass battery mount. This allows the use of a saddle pack battery (Reedy #627) to optimize the weight distribution of the chassis. With the addition of the Factory Team carbon fiber chassis brace rod, the chassis flex has been made more consistent and predictable for an overall improvement in handling and traction. One of the more radical features on the SC10 4x4 Factory Team kit is the VTS4 slipper clutch, a variable torque, multi-plate slipper clutch with 4-drive surfaces. The VTS4 slipper clutch is a big step up in performance by providing increased torque capacity in addition to finer resolution in adjustment. This all adds up to more consistent power transfer to the ground. The SC10 4x4 Factory Team Kit has also received the upgrades you would come to expect to find in full blown race car. You’ll find Factory Team 13mm hard anodized aluminum big-bore threaded shocks, blue aluminum clamping wheel hexes and sway bar sets already in the box! Posted February 18, 2012 SC10 4x4 Rear Skid Plate SC10 4x4 Rear Skid PlateRPM Rear Skid Plates for the Associated SC10 4x4 add an element of protection not present with stock components. The stock rear skid plate does not sit below the level of the chassis, leaving it exposed to impacts, sliding and grinding damage. That is no longer an issue with an RPM Rear Skid Plate installed. RPM skid plates add approx. 1/8” of chassis protection to the bottom of the truck to help eliminate that type of damage. At 2” wide, our skid plates are also the widest skid plates available offering the maximum amount of protection possible. We’ve also eliminated the upper screw mounting hole. With that mounting location gone, rear skid plate installation and removal is as simple as removing a single screw, which also makes sway bar adjustments that much quicker because the skid plate no longer interferes with access to the sway bars. RPM SC10 4x4 Rear Skid Plates are molded in black and backed by our industry-leading warranty protection for unsurpassed performance and durability. 73812 SC10 4x4 Rear Skid Plate - Available 03.05.11 Rear A-arms for the Associated SC10 4x4 SC10 4x4 Rear A-armsFollowing the release of our front A-arms for the Associated SC10 4x4 (RPM #73962), we now have a set of rear A-arms to complement those fronts for complete SC10 4x4 protection! Once again, strength and durability were primary design considerations for these rear A-arms. Similar to the fronts, hinge pin and cross-holes such as shock mounts and anti-sway bar holes have been beefed up for some serious muscle. The structure of the A-arms is also dramatically different than the stock design, which not only helps with the strength and sturdiness of the overall design, it also helps contribute to a stronger, less flexible design than the stock A-arms. All this extra strength and at a weight that is actually 2-1/2 grams per A-arm lighter than stock A-arms, for a total weight loss of 5 grams! RPM rear A-arms for the SC10 4x4 are molded in black from our trademark blend of extremely durable materials and are backed by our limited lifetime warranty. 73942 Rear A-arms for the Assoc. SC10 4x4 Front A-arms for the Associated SC10 4x4 Sc10 4x4 Front A-armsRPM engineers meticulously scrutinized a set of front A-arms for the Associated SC10 4x4 to see where we could improve on the stock design. The result… An A-arm design that can handle the roughest and toughest abuse and still come back for more! Since strength and durability were primary design considerations, we focused on common breakage areas for strength upgrades. Hinge pin and cross holes such as shock mounts and anti-sway bar holes have been beefed up for some much-needed muscle. The structure of the A-arms is also dramatically different than the stock design, which not only helps with the strength and sturdiness of the overall design, it also helps contribute to a stronger, less flexible design than the stock A-arms. All this strength and at a weight that is virtually identical to stock Associated A-arms! RPM A-arms for the SC10 4x4 are molded in black from our trademark blend of extremely durable materials and are backed by our limited lifetime warranty. With a set of RPM A-arms on your ride, we’ll make sure you make it to the finish line! 73962 Front A-arms for the Assoc. SC10 4x4
